ABOUT US
Quik Stop is one of EG America’s convenience and retail brands with more than 95 store locations across California and Nevada.
Our History
Four gentlemen who worked for a small grocery store in the San Francisco Bay area had a vision of opening a chain of convenience stores that could be franchised to individuals who would concentrate on business operations, while the accounting was processed at a central office. This idea led to the founding of Quik Stop Markets, Inc., and the first office opened in Fremont, CA in 1965. The 35-store convenience chain was then acquired by Dillons in 1970 followed by Kroger in 1983. EG Group then acquired Kroger's convenience store business in 2018, adding Quik Stop to its portfolio of convenience store brands as part of its US operations.
